Introducing Fline 2.0

Part 1: Backtesting

Greetings Community!

The Midas and Fline teams are proud to announce the new Fline investing Interface, which is now available to all users of the Midas.Investments platform! This article is going to provide you an inside look into the bot, its trades, and how to start investing!

The Fline trading bot has been around for a while, but until recently it was only available to Fline Masternode owners. This created some problems with accessibility, as only a very limited pool of investors could utilize the bot’s strategies.

Now, anyone registered to the Midas platform can participate in the trading bot and begin earning profits! Benefits to Fline investors are still present, as anyone who owns 2500 or more Fline can enjoy reduced bot fees.

With these changes, the Fline bot is one of the most successful, accessible, and affordable automated strategies on the market! Unlike many services that require monthly payments regardless of their profitability, the Fline bot’s fees are only paid when trades are profitable. The fees are: 50% for regular users, and 40% for Fline investors.

Now let’s take a look at how the bot performs in backtesting:

The beginning of the backtest document, which commences trading on January 1, 2016, with a balance of 1 BTC.

The end of the backtest, which completes on March 17, 2020, with a balance of 43,085.72 BTC.

As you can see, the backtest for this bot encompasses the entirety of the last 4.25 years. Over this relatively short time period, the bot returned 4,308,472% on investment. (That’s over 43,000x initial investment).

Over the approximately 4.25 year backtest, the bot completed 291 trades, which is about one trade every 5.33 days. It is important to note that this bot is not a high frequency trading bot, but rather is designed to catch BTC’s “big moves.”

While backtesting is not a guarantee of future results, it provides a good indicator for how the bot will perform in various market cycles. Another important factor is that this backtest shows the bot’s gain against BTC, not USD. This means that the bot’s gains were not only reliant upon BTC’s dramatic rise in value from ~$400 to where it is today, but rather that it performs in bear and bull markets alike.
